Permanency Support Specialist – Omaha
Phil graduated from Bellevue College in 1990 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Studies with an emphasis on Human Services. Prior to his career in child welfare, Phil worked in IT for 23 years. While good at it, it was never his passion.
Helping at-risk youth between the ages of 15 to 18 was his passion so when the opportunity to work in the child welfare industry presented itself Phil took it. In addition to his career in child welfare, Phil and his wife set out to help one individual by becoming foster parents. They quickly realized they could help more and fostered for 17 more years believing it is their life’s calling. As a foster parent, Phil has real-life experience dealing with the many facets of the child welfare system and feels privileged to help adoptive families be successful.
Phil came to Right Turn from PromiseShip where he was a Family Permanency Specialist working with families in need of preserving or reunifying their family. Phil also provided extended family home services to persons needing special care.
