Online – Kinship Adoption
April 28 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm| Free
At first look, it might seem that adopting a child known to you would be simple. Many of the relationship steps have already been accomplished such as learning one another’s personality, interests, and history. However, kinship adoption also comes with its own set of questions and challenges. Maneuvering through complicated familiar relationships involving adoption can be tricky. Maintaining healthy boundaries is so important when dealing with all the emotions you might experiences, from loss and guilt to joy and comfort and all those feelings in between. This training will allow you the opportunity to discover new techniques for you and your family.
Due to recent recommendations by the CDC to limit public gathering, this training will take place via webinar using Zoom Web Conferencing. Once registered, the trainer will contact you with specific instructions on how to access the training.
Trainings will be live with the trainer available to answer questions or address any concerns that may come up. If you have any further questions, please contact the Education and Training Coordinator, Stacy Varouh at firstname.lastname@example.org or 402.889.8366.
