Online- Successfully Parenting a Child with Fetal Alcohol Exposure: Understanding FASD and Incorporating Parenting Strategies that Work
October 29 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm| Free
Current statistics show that at least one in every one hundred children in North America have some form of a Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder is an umbrella term used to describe a range of disabilities. This means that no two individuals are affected the same. This training will allow the participant to understand the impact of prenatal alcohol exposure on a child, and the potential challenges parents face when raising a child with FASD. Additionally, participants will gain a better understanding of how these children experience the world, and special parenting considerations and techniques.
This training will take place via webinar using Zoom Web Conferencing. Once registered, the trainer will contact you with specific instructions on how to access the training.
Trainings will be live with the trainer available to answer questions or address any concerns that may come up. If you have any further questions, please contact the Education and Training Coordinator, Stacy Varouh at firstname.lastname@example.org or 402.889.8366.
